About The Doctor

 

Dr. Dobry graduated from the University of Oklahoma, in Norman, Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He then attended the University of Central Oklahoma, in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Lastly, he acquired his Doctoral degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, in Miami, Florida. After finishing his studies, he was appointed to and completed two (2) years of podiatric surgical training at St. Luke's Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was trained by the internationally recognized foot surgeon, Dr. Kerry Zang. For both years, Dr. Dobry was the chief resident. Dr. Dobry then spent another year training at the Carl T. Hayden Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, as a Podiatric Research Fellow specializing in diabetic lower extremity wound care treatment and management. Since completing his Fellowship in June 2004, Dr. Dobry has built his private practice in Frisco, Texas a suburb North of Dallas.

Dr. Dobry is board-qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) and is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). Dr. Dobry is a member of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association (TXPMA), as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). Upon arriving in Frisco, Dr. Dobry joined the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.

Having grown up in Oklahoma City, Dr. Dobry has always considered the Dallas area a second home. He attended Southern Methodist University for three years, and having many family members living in the Metroplex, has been a regular visitor to Dallas his entire life. Prior to his podiatric medical career, Dr. Dobry spent a year working as a commercial real estate broker and another year for a general contracting construction firm, both in Oklahoma City. While living there, Dr. Dobry volunteered for several charities including the Bachelor's Club of Oklahoma City, Prevent Blindness Oklahoma, and was an initiated member of the Ancient Free & Accepted Masons. While in Arizona, Dr. Dobry volunteered for the Arizona State Arthritis Foundation.

Dr. Dobry is married, enjoys vigorous political discussions, writing, studying history, fly-fishing, camping, and most of all, cooking. When Dr. Dobry is not pursuing these activities, he supports his beloved Oklahoma Sooners, and spends his time with his wife, their border collie, Sam, and their cat, Kitty.
